Global network security vendor WatchGuard Technologies has appointed Bluechip Infotech as its third Australian distributor as part of its strategy to boost sales in the local market this year.
WatchGuard says the appointment of Bluechip Infotech complements its existing distribution relationships with Dicker Data and Exclusive Networks.
According to WatchGuard , the new appointment of Bluechip Infotech will enable it to expand its regional footprint to meet a growing demand for network security solutions and services among SMB, mid-market and distributed enterprises.
WatchGuard also says the appointment will further boost its presence in Australia by expanding its channel and enabling it to reach new touchpoints with Bluechip InfoTech’s strong network of managed service providers.
Mark Sinclair, ANZ Regional Manager WatchGuard Technologies, said, “WatchGuard is looking to increase sales in Australia this year and our relationship with all three distributors is a key part of that overall growth strategy. Expanding our channel focus to reach more SMB and mid-market enterprise customers with Bluechip Infotech and its channel network of managed service providers will help us accelerate growth moving forward”.
“At the same time, Bluechip Infotech has a progressive online marketplace which plays nicely in the managed service provider market making it a seamless exercise to deliver WatchGuard solutions and manage demand,” says Mark Sinclair, ANZ Regional Manager, WatchGuard Technologies.
Johnson Hsiung, Managing Director, Bluechip InfoTech, said, “WatchGuard’s addition to the Bluechip Infotech business will strengthen our overall offering in the network security space and reinforce our position and ability to service the Australian SMB and mid-market business sector”.

Under the new distribution deal, WatchGuard will provide Bluechip Infotech with sales training, certification programs and marketing resources.
