After arriving as a public beta in February 2017, Android Nougat 7.1.2 is now rolling out to Pixel and Nexus users along with the April security patch.

The update is fairly minor, but delivers the Pixel Launcher to Pixel C tablets and a grid-based multi-tasking menu that shows the last eight opened apps in small cards. Additionally, Android 7.1.2 means all Nexus devices now get thefingerprint gestures that launched with the Pixel. The feature allows users to check their notifications by swiping down on the smartphone’s fingerprint sensor and can be enabled through the ‘Moves’ menu in settings.

There is also now a new roaming indicator in the status bar for phones, new battery usage alerts for apps and the update solves several bugs for the Pixel and Pixel XL, such as early battery shutdown.

The April security patch is now available through Rogers , bringing with it VoLTE support and the same build as all other international devices. There’s no word on the security patch from Bell or Telus yet.

To get 7.1.2 right away, check out the download and OTA links and if you’re wondering how to flash factory images on to a device, check out our how to guidehere.
