Chinese company LeEco might not make any profit from selling its flagship smartphone, the Le Pro3 in the United States, but that doesn't get in the way of offering new updates.
If you happen to be the owner of a LeEco Le Pro3, which was launched in the US back in November and sold for just $400 outright, then you should be getting a software update that brings some improvements and bug fixes.
In addition, the update that is tagged with firmware version 5.8.020S and weighs in at around 345MB adds the recently released December security patch.
Several other improvements and fixes have been included in the update, such as the updated GMS package for increased stability and security, as well as the addition of badge display support for app icons on desktop for the LeEco Le Pro3 launcher.
The official changelog mentions the update should eliminate the “No Subject” header from MMS and decrease Bluetooth discoverability duration to 20 second to save device resources.
Also, fans of Le Pro3's camera will be pleased to know thatLeEco has added some camera image processing algorithm enhancements, including anti-shaking and HDR features.
The display of app permission request for some apps has been optimized, as LeEco eliminated unnecessary permission requests when the app is launched for the first time.
The update is pushed OTA (over the air) in waves, so LeEco Le Pro3owners might want to manually check their phones if they haven't yet been notified on the update.
