TechnoBuffalo is no stranger to the threat of unwelcome visitors. A few years ago when the company was just starting, someone broke into our offices and stole our computers, phones and equipment. We were left with no gear to run the business and it almost ended TechnoBuffalo. The only form of security we had up at the time was a little webcam that was easily disconnected. It didn’t even backup to a cloud service. Needless to say, it probably didn’t ignite much fear into the robbers.
Not too long ago we had the opportunity to try out theRing Video Doorbell, a great device to keep your home or office monitored at all times. Now, were checking out the Ring Stick Up Cam. It borrows a lot of the elements present in the Video Doorbell, including design, cloud HD recording and Wi-Fi connectivity, but it also introduces some cool new features.
Instead of solely being a doorbell camera, the Stick Up Cam can be placed anywhere, including a tree and record wide shots with its fish-eye lens. It is wire-free and weather resistant, so you can essentially stick it anywhere. The cam is also equipped with motion sensors and night vision, so even in the dead of night, you’ll be covered.
You can download the Ring app and see the recorded video anywhere, anytime. If you’re interested in possibly upgrading your security set up, Ring and its array of cameras might be worth checking out.
