National Cyber Security Awareness Month , which is observed every October, isan opportunity for us as a nation to spotlightsecurity issues that impact our daily lives. As proven by the exponential increase in data breaches, threat actors are finding their way past current security defenses. We need to fight back together if we are ever going to turn the tides on data breaches, phishing attacks, and other malicious online threats that cost organizations and individuals each year.
Cybercriminals continue to evolve methods used to steal valuable data from both consumers and organizations. What should we do about it? For starters, we must stop being easy targets. Education is the key - SURPISE! I know you didn't see that coming. Leverage open source resources (like the PhishLabs blog andresources page!) tostay up to date on current threats and best practices to protect your assets, your identity, and valuable data.
